John Basch

Uncle John Basch.  He was Louisa Basch Stuve’s youngest brother.  He was born about 1876. He would have been just three years old when his father died. 
This photo is marked inside the album “Uncle John Basch.”

I will guess that this wedding photo was taken sometime around  1900..he would have been 24 years old in 1900.   The bride obviously had some money as she is not wearing a dark colored dress.   Her dress looks to be a pastel color, which was not as practical and would not be worn as much as a darker dress.  Only the wealthy had a special dress to be married in.

I believe that this is the Uncle John that Tracie talks about in her diary on September 14 and 15th.  The Aunt Annie Young must be Johns baby sister who was born about 1878.  On September 19 she talks about Uncle Henry taking them into Aunt Marys.
